Whirl-Pak Hydrated Sponge Bags is an improved way for environmental surface sampling due to the pre-moistened sponge bags. Each bag features a polyurethan sponge, pre-hydrated with HiCap Neutralizing Broth and is terminally gamma processed for sterility. The High Capacity broth is the first of its kind. HiCap neurtalizing broth is a collection broth develped specifically for use in the food and beverage industry. HiCap helps prevent false negative test results due to neutralzing residual sanitizers on the sample surface while maintaining the viability of the collected microorganisms. The PolyProbe sponge has a polypropylene handle to allow maximum contact of the sponge with the sampling surface and also helps with the collection of hard-to-reach surfaces and areas. The polyurethan sponge can be removed from the handle quickly with the twist-off head on the handle.
