- The Scilogex D160/10 Homogenizer Package includes the Drive Motor, H-370 stand, and DS-160/10 generator probe. The Scilogex DS-160/10 generator probe is made of 316L stainless steel with PTFE brushings. The generator has a 10 mm diameter, flat head-open slot, and a 115 mm immerse length. This probe is compatible with solid and liquid media at working volumes of 1 - 250 mL.

- The Scilogex D160 Homogenizer can rapidly homogenize, disperse, and emmulsify samples in 0.1-150 mL of liquid if using the probe included in the kit, or 1- 50 mL if using other probes sold separately.
- During operation, the suspended material is drawn into the core of the homogenizer by a rotor turning at up to 30,000 RPM. The material is repeatedly cycled through narrow slits in the probe where it is rapidly sheared and disintegrated by high shear. This product is easy to hold and light weight for one handed operation.
- Complete homogenization of tissues (muscle, liver, breast tissue, etc.) is usually achieved in a few seconds with little, if any, heat produced during the process.
- All shafts are interchangeable shafts and are autoclavable.
- This product comes with a 2 year warranty.
