Sodium oxalate ACS (CAS: 62-76-0) is a white crystalline powder, odorless and water soluble. It is composed of sodium ions (Na⁺) and oxalate ions (C2O4²⁻), and is also called disodium oxalate and the sodium salt of oxalic acid Na2C2O4. This compound is also known as Ethanedioic Acid Disodium Salt or Oxalic Acid Sodium Salt. Given its extensive use in industry, sodium oxalate (Na2C2O4) is often available as a laboratory reagent in ACS grade, which satisfies the stringent purity requirements of the American Chemical Society for both analytical and research work.

Applications of Sodium Oxalate ACS Grade

Sodium oxalate ACS is an inorganic, water-soluble salt that is primarily employed in the standardization of permanganate solution in titration.

It can be employed as a coordination agent and a dispersant for formic acid electrooxidation using a dispersed palladium nanoparticle catalyst on the purified multi-walled carbon nanotubes (P-MWCNTs).

Together with sodium hydroxide, it can be utilized to mediate the synthesis of Cu/ZrO2 catalyst from the mixture of copper nitrite and zirconium nitrate solution through coprecipitation.

Key Features of Sodium Oxalate ACS Grade

High Purity: This provides for the reagent being of the highest regulatory purity and quality.

High stability: strong and lenient, with consistent performance across methods.

Water-Soluble: Easy dissolution for accurate titration and reagent preparation.
