Vortex Genie 2 SI-0236 Vortex Mixer, Adjustable Speed 600- 3200 RPM, Scientific Industries This popular vortexer from Scientific Industries features analog variable speed control between 600 and 3200 RPM and allows for precise mixing from gentle to vigorous. It is made of tough metal housing while still light weight preventing movement of the equipment on the lab bench during vortexing. The vortexer has a 3 position power switch: off, on (or hands free), and touch on (for pressure based induced vortexing). It can be used in both cold rooms and incubators in temperatures between 0C and 38C with a maximum of 95% relative humidity. This product comes with a pop-off cup which is ideal for one 15 or one 50 mL centrifuge tubes and a 3 inch platform which can be used for single or multiple tubes. In addition to the attachments provided, there are a number of other attachments available for most common tube sizes.
