Whatman GD/X syringe filter range is specifically designed for high particulate-loaded samples.
This syringe filter allow filtration of viscous, hard to filter samples great than 10 mL. Specifically the PVDF filter material is ideal for aqueous and/or organic based samples due to its low protein binding membrane. PVDF membrane is seem in many HPLC sample prep applications due to its less hydrophobic and lower water breatkthrough values.
These filters are constructed of a pigment-free polypropylene housing with a prefiltration stack of Whatman GMF 150 (graded density) and GF/F glass microfiber media, these filters allow you to filter even the most difficult samples with less hand pressure.
Some benefits of the GD/X syringe filter are it lessens the amount of pressure on the users hand as well as processes three to seven times more sample volume.
