HyCell™ CHO media are developed for Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture in bioprocessing applications. These CHO media support regulatory compliance and are chemically defined (CD) and animal-derived component-free (ADCF). HyCell™ media have been specifically formulated to provide excellent performance, support high peak CHO cell density, and enhance product yield and quality. These chemically defined media can be used for batch, fed-batch, or perfusion applications in multiple cell culture platforms ranging from shake flasks to large-scale bioreactors.
HyCell™ CHO media containing hypoxanthine and thymidine (HT) are production media, while HyCell™ CHO media without HT are compatible with selection systems. For a long shelf-life and compatibility with glutamine synthetase (GS) systems, please note that neither of these formulations include L-glutamine. The recommended L-glutamine concentration is 4 to 6 mM.
HyCell™ CHO media formulations are available in both liquid media and powdered formats for use in cell culture bioprocessing applications.
