| Technical Info / Product Notes | AIP (autocamtide-2-related inhibitory peptide, Prod. No. BML-P211) is a highly-specific and potent inhibitor of CaM kinase II. The sequence is derived from autocamtide-2 (Prod. No. BML-P101) but alanine is substituted for threonine at the 9-position. AIP at 1 µM completely inhibited CaM kinase II but did not affect PKC, PKA, CaMKIV and other brain extract kinases. Myristoylated AIP (Prod. No. BML-P212) is the same sequence as AIP but is N-terminal myristoylated to increase cell-permeability. |
