- The Scilogex D160/5 Homogenizer Package includes the Drive Motor, H-370 Stand, and DS-160/5 generator probe made of 316L staniless steel with PTFE brushings. The flat head, open slot generator probe that has a diameter of 5 mm and an immersion length of 50 mm and can be used for solid and liquid media up to 50 mL. Other probes for the homogenizer, while not included, are available.

- The Scilogex D160 Homogenizer can rapidly homogenize, disperse, and emmulsify samples in 0.1-50 mL of liquid if using the probe included in the kit, or 1- 250 mL if using other probes sold separately.
- During operation, the suspended material is drawn into the core of the homogenizer by a rotor turning at up to 30,000 RPM. The material is repeatedly cycled through narrow slits in the probe where it is rapidly sheared and disintegrated by high shear. This product is easy to hold and light weight for one handed operation.
- Complete homogenization of tissues (muscle, liver, breast tissue, etc.) is usually achieved in a few seconds with little, if any, heat produced during the process.
- All shafts are interchangeable shafts and are autoclavable.
- This product comes with a 2 year warranty.
