Sodium Carbonate, Anhydrous, Powder, Reagent, ACS also known as washing soda, is a white powder without smell that readily absorbs moisture present in the air. Glass production is by far the biggest source of use for it. Acting as a flux for silica it enables the melting point to be lower, facilitating the glass making process. As a sodium salt it makes for a great electrolyte and is often used as one in chemistry. It is also used as household water softener, food additive and in taxidermy.
