The monoclonal antibody FU-MK-1 binds to cholangiocarcinomas, a tumour composed of mutated epithelial cells which originates in the bile ducts, but does not recognize hepatocellular carcinomas. Due to its specificity, the monoclonal antibody can be used as an antigenic marker in histopathological examination of tissues. |
