In a murine in vivo model, it elicited anti-HER2 antibodies, offering protection against HER2-positive SK-OV-3 tumor cells (Ladjemi et al., 2011; PMID: 21294885). Additionally, specialized trastuzumab-fused masked forms of this antibody—T-scFv40 + TEV, T-scFv40 + Factor Xa, and T-scFv40 + TEV + Factor Xa—were used to evaluate binding affinity to HER2 via flow cytometry and confocal microscopy (Orozco et al., 2022; PMID: 35799328). |
