| Application Notes: | This antibody specifically recognises native β-NGF in ELISA experiments, and denatured β-NGF in Western blotting (Kenigsberg et al, 1991). It has also been used to detect NGF immunoreactive sites in formaldehyde-fixed tissue (Kenigsberg et al, 1991). This antibody has been shown to block the biological activity associated with NGF, including the outgrowth of NGF-induced processes from rat pheochromocytoma cells, and the increase in choline acetyltransferase activity triggered by NGF (Kenigsberg et al, 1991). |
