Intravenous administration of this antibody to normal mice results in glomerular binding, as revealed by immunofluoescence analysis, suggesting that the production of glomerular-binding autoantibodies by renal mononuclear cells conributes to the developmet of lupus nephritis (Sekine et al, 2004). |
