| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody recognizes and binds porcine sialoadhesin. |
| Application Notes: | This antibody is recommended to be used as a tool in the study of porcine macrophage maturation and differentiation and for determining their heterogeneity both in normal and pathological conditions. This antibody can recognize porcine sialoadhesin in a western blot assay and an immunoprecipitation assay (PMID: 9151393). Tissue distribution of the antigen recognized by this mAb was analyzed by immunohistochemical staining of different tissues (PMID:19081005). 3B11 successfully binds alveolar macrophages and PAM cells in a flow cytometric analysis (PMID:19081005, 23785195). Porcine sialoadhesin has also been analyzed as potential antigen targeting receptors using mouse IgG as surrogate antigens (PMID:21557980). The mAb was also used in the study the role of sialoadhesin in porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus infection using immunoflurosence and flow cytometric analysis (Liu et al, 2020) |
