| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2a format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody is specific for the Vglut1 protein. The antibody does not cross-react with VGlut1 or VGlut3. Vglut2 mediates the uptake of glutamate into synaptic vesicles at presynaptic nerve terminals of excitatory neural cells. |
| Application Notes: | The IgG1 antibody was used for immunofluorescense on the brain of a chicken (González-Cabrera et al, 2015; PMID:25594665). Immunohistochemistry was preformed on the brain of a chicken using the IgG1 version of this antibody (González-Cabrera et al, 2015; PMID:25594665). The IgG1 variant of this antibody was used in a immunocytochemistry experiment on human neurons (Fantuzzo et al, 2017; PMID:28781993). Immunofluorescense was preformed with the IgG1 version of this antibody on the neurons of a rat (Dabrowska et al, 2013; PMID:24009552). The IgG1 version of this antibody was used to preform western blot and immunofluorescense on the electroplaque of Torpedo californica (Li and Harlow, 2014; PMID:24744885) |
