| Application Notes: | The binding studies of this antibody to various human tissues was done using ELISA and indirect immunofluorescence. This antibody also showed comparable reciprocal cross-blocking in radioimmunoassay on LAN-1 NB cells or NB glycolipid extracts (PMID: 2580625). This antibody is also recommended for the study of distribution of the GD2 antigen on various types of cancer tissues. This antibodhy was also used in the development of a chimeric receptor 3G6-CD28, which provides CD28 signaling upon specific recognition of the GD2 antigen on tumor cells (PMID: 9705944). Expression of GD2 expressing cells was done by flow cytometry using 3G6. This antibody was also used in anti-GD2 therapy to test the survival and metastasis after challenge with EL4 cells (PMID: 16288049). |
