| Application Notes: | This antibody binds iC3b with a dissociation constant of 43.3 nM. This antibody can be used in combination with 5D2 to detect iC3b in a sanwich ELISA. This antibody was used to identify iC3b using immunoprecipitation. This antbody was also used for the immunohistochemical analysis of Alzheimer's disease brain and was successful in labelling plaques with various morphologies in the grey matter at a 0.625 μg/mL dilution. This antibody can successfully stain human bruch's membrane/choroid tissues samples from patients having age related macular degeneration (AMD). It was able to identify drusen associated with bruch's membrane in stage 3 and 4 AMD tissues (US20140127225). |
