| Application Notes: | 8A6 is recommended for the detection of 8-OH-Adenosine. In an inhibition experiment it was tested whether a ligand for 8-OH-adenosine could inhibit the binding of this antibody to its antigen. It was shown that a concentration betweeen 1 and 5 um ihibits the antibody binding to its antigen (US6900291B2). Further, the ability this antibody to detect 8-OH-Ade lesions in physiological DNA was tested by dot blot (US6900291B2). This antibody was shown to bind to 8-OH-adenosine conjugated to BSA in an ELISA on 96-well Probind plates (US6900291B2). Furthermore, immunohistochemistry was preformed on English sole kidney using this antibody (US2018066071). Fianally, cancerous and benign prostatic cells from PC patients were also probed via immunohistochemistry using this clone (US2018066071). |
