| Application Notes: | The specificity of this antibody (IgG2a) towards the native protein chIL-6 was confirmed in ELISA analysis. The antibody detected the denatured chIL-6 by western blot. The antibody shows inhibitory activity on murine IL-6 on a B9 hybridoma cell bioassay. The bioassay was run with varying concentrations of the antibody in order to determine the effective concentration for neutralizing IL-6. (Scott et al, 2006; pmid: 16930722). |
