Chimeric Use Statement:This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement:The antibody recognizes mouse, rat, hamster, human and chicken p120/catenin, but it does not cross react with the porcine and canine homologs. The epitope is located at amino acid residues 55‐101.
Application Notes:The antibody (IgG1) was used to immunoprecipitate tyrosine phosphoprotein P120. The antibody was used in Western blot (Kanner at al, 1990; PMID:2110361). The antibody was used to analyse the level of tyrosine phosphorylation of P120 in uninfected CE cells and cells expressing several oncogenic and nononcogenic src variants. The antibody was used to immunoprecipitate P120 from CE cell extracts, then the antibody was used in western blot (Kanner et al, 1991; PMID:1703631). The antibody was employed to perform immunocytochemical analysis in order to investigate the cellular localization of p120 on CMT 93/69 and MDCK cells (Staddon et al, 1995; PMID: 7615637). The antibody immunoprecipitated only CAS1 isoforms (Mo et al., 1996). The antibody was used for immunoprecipitation and Western blotting of pp120 from MDCK cell lysates (Dillon et al, 1998; PMID: 9422525).
