Vector Labs Ab02759-10.3 Anti-Estrogen receptor [S72 (scFv7)], Human IgG1, Fc Silent™, lambda (200 μg)

Quick Overview
This antibody was generated from a phage display library constructed from normal human lymph cells using scFv expression vectors. The scFv antibody was isolated by panning the library against a target peptide comprising amino acid residues 284-310 of human estrogen receptor (hER-α36).

Chimeric Use Statement:This full-length, reformatted human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement:This antibody is specific for the amino acid residues 284-310 of human estrogen receptor (hER-α36). The estrogen receptor is a nuclear hormone receptor. The steroid hormones and their receptors are involved in the regulation of eukaryotic gene expression and affect cellular proliferation and differentiation in target tissues. Ligand-dependent nuclear transactivation involves either direct homodimer binding to a palindromic estrogen response element (ERE) sequence or association with other DNA-binding transcription factors, such as AP-1/c-Jun, c-Fos, ATF-2, Sp1 and Sp3, to mediate ERE-independent signaling.
Application Notes:To characterize the binding of this antibody an ELISA was performed against biotinylated ERα36 using the scFv version. The scFv version of this antibody can also recognize human ERα36 in a western blot assay. And to identify the therapeutic advantages of this antibody, BCAP-37 tumors were implanted in balb/c nude mice after which the scFv version of this antibody was administered. The tumor sizes showed a significant difference with the control group (US20110311517).
