| Application Notes: | The screening of hybridoma supernatants to identify binding towards tetanus toxin was done using ELISA. The protective capacity of this antibody against tetanus toxoid was tested using the mouse tetanus toxin neutralization assay. The mice which received the tetanus toxin preincubated with 9F12 were completely protected (PMID: 7174795). The original antibody was used to study the role of gangliosides in the binding and internalization of bacterial toxins (PMID: 11093135). |
