Vector Labs Ab02836-1.1 Anti-CA125 [OC125-3.11], Mouse IgG1, kappa (200 μg)

Quick Overview
The original mouse antibody OC125 was generated by immunizing BLAB/c with an epithelial cell line OVCA433 established from a patient (E.M.) with serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma. This antibody is a recombinant version derived from the murine parent antibody OC125.

Application Notes:This recombinant antibody is derived from the parent mouse IgG1 antibody OC125. The original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody was found to bind 6 different epithelial ovarian carcinoma cell lines. The binding characterization of the original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody was done using flow cytometry and indirect immunofluorescence staining. The original antibody was used for the immunofluorescence staining of ovarian papillary serous adenocarcinoma(PMID: 7028788). The original mouse IgG1 antibody, OC125, was used in the radioimmunoprecipitation of antigens from [3H]GlcN-labeled OVCAR-3 cells. Inhibition and indirect ELISA was used to test the effect of various enzymic and chemical treatments on binding of the original mouse IgG1 version of this antibody towards CA125. This antibody was also used in the identification of CA125 antigen in a western blot assay (PMID: 9180155). The original mouse IgG1 antibody was used in a immunohistochemical study where 22 different anti-CA125 antibodies were tested for their properties in staining various tissues from normal proliferative endometrium (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded) material and clear-cell adenocarcinoma of the ovary (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded and frozen material) (PMID: 8938947).
