| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody is specific for both native and denatured GST protein. GST protein is a protein Glutathione S-transferase that catalyzes the nucleophilic attack of the sulfur atom of glutathione on the electrophilic groups of a wide range of exogenous and endogenous compounds. |
| Application Notes: | To make sure fusion proteins were fused to the plastic surface the mouse version of this antibody was used in an ELISA (Ramos and DeSimone, 1996; pmid:8698817). An ELISA was preformed on petri dishes coated with fusion proteins to confirm the absorption of the proteins to the petri dish (Ramos et al, 1996; pmid:8787760). |
