Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human and cynomolgus monkey CD147. CD147 is a type I membrane glycoprotein and is classified into the immunoglobulin-like superfamily, and is expressed in many types of cancer. It is suggested that CD147 is also associated with cancer metastasis, invasion, and chemical drug resistance.
Application Notes: The binding specificity of this antibody for human and cynomolgus monkey was determined using ELISA. This antibody was shown to interact with CD147 expressed on Raji cells and HSC-F cells in a flow cytometric analysis. This antibody was also reported to show anti-tumor effects in tumor-bearing mouse model of K562 cells, which is a chronic leukemia cell line and in tumor-bearing mouse model of SW480 cells, a colon cancer cell line. This antibody also showed CDC and ADCC activity against CD147 bearing cancerous cells (WO2017061602).
