Chimeric Use Statement:This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human Fab format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Specificity Statement:This antibody recognizes binds human and cynomolgous monkey NKG2D with similar affinity and shows low binding affinity for mouse NKG2D. Natural killer (NK) cells serve as key innate effectors and their activity has been considered a prognostic biomarker in diverse human diseases. NKG2d functions as an activating and costimulatory receptor involved in immunosurveillance upon binding to various cellular stress-inducible ligands displayed at the surface of autologous tumor cells and virus-infected cells. It provides both stimulatory and costimulatory innate immune responses on activated killer (NK) cells, leading to cytotoxic activity. I also acts as a costimulatory receptor for T-cell receptor (TCR) in CD8+ T-cell-mediated adaptive immune responses by amplifying T-cell activation. and participates in NK cell-mediated bone marrow graft rejection.
Application Notes:This antibody is recommeded for detection of human, cynomolgous monkey and mouse NKG2D by ELISA. This antibody was capable of recognizing EL4 mouse lymphoma cell lines expressing human or mouse NKG2D-CD3 zeta signaling domain chimeric antigen receptors in a flow cytometry assay (US20210079102).
