Decreased or absent insulin activity results in diabetes mellitus, a condition of high blood sugar level (hyperglycemia). |
| Application Notes: | This antibody is an affinity matured version of mab13 created by a point mutation in the variable heavy region S58R. The affinity of the IgG1 version of this antibody for insulin was found to be kd=59nM (PMID: 7995943). The binding specificity of the original IgG1 antibody for human insulin was determined using ELISA (PMID: 2159034). |
