| Specificity Statement: | This antibody is specific for amino acids 410-432 (TIVEEVQDGKVISSREQVHQTTR) of human cytokeratin 17. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 17 regulates the activity of kinases such as PKC and SRC via binding to integrin beta-1 (ITB1) and the receptor of activated protein C kinase 1 (RACK1). |
| Application Notes: | The binding characterization of this antibody to human cytokeratin 8 was done using ELISA. The affinity constant for the original IgG3 antibody was calculated to be 9.6 × 10^(8) M^(-1). This antibody is similar to commercially available anti-Cytokeratin 17 antibody E3 in staining various human tissues. This antibody can be used in the immunohistochemical analysis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (CN113278070). |
