| Specificity Statement: | This antibody is capable of binding human cytokeratin 19. Cytokeratins are intermediate filaments found in the intracytoplasmic cytoskeleton of epithelial tissue. Cytokeratin 19 is involved in the organization of myofibers. Together with KRT8, helps to link the contractile apparatus to dystrophin at the costameres of striated muscle. |
| Application Notes: | The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. This antibody is also capable of detecting human cytokeratin 19 in a western blot assay. The affinity constant of the original IgG2a antibody was determined to be 7.68X10^(9) M^(-1). This antibody was also used in the immunohistochemical staining of thyroid papillary cancer, colon cancer and gastric cancer tissues (CN111410690). The immunohistochemical staining pattern of this antibody is similar to another commercially available antibody A53-B/A2.26. |
