| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds human chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4 (CHD4). It is a component of the histone deacetylase NuRD complex which participates in the remodeling of chromatin by deacetylating histones. Patients with dermatomyositis develop antibodies against this protein. Somatic mutations in the gene that encodes this protein are associated with serous endometrial tumors. |
