These were inserted into a recombinant pComb3H vector containing the N92 Fd fragment. The N92 Fd fragment: light-chain libraries were panned on N-type glycophorin A or NN red cells.

Specificity Statement: This antibody recognizes the human N-type blood-group antigen (MNS blood group) comprised of the N-terminal glycopeptide of glycophorin A (GPA). Glycophorin A is the major sialoglycoproteins and intrinsic membrane protein of the human erythrocyte which bears the antigenic determinants for the MN and Ss blood groups.
Application Notes: This antibody is a synthetic clone derives from the parental clone N72 Fab. This antibody is capable of reacting with N-type glycophorin A and NN red cells in an ELISA and an agglutination assay (PMID: 10220261). This antibody is capable of detecting glycophorin A of N-type and glycophorin B in a western blot assay (PMID: 19833240; 9574545). This antibody was also used in the immunofluorescence staining of transfected CHO cells expressing recombinant N-type GPA (PMID: 14962308).
