| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric rat antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds mouse CD226. This protein is expressed on the surface of natural killer cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of T cells. It is involved in intercellular adhesion, lymphocyte signaling, cytotoxicity and lymphokine secretion mediated by cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) and NK cell. It acts as cell surface receptor for NECTIN2. On binding with ligand it stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, including that of IL2, IL5, IL10, IL13, and IFNG. |
| Application Notes: | The binding of this antibody to recombinant mouse CD226-Fc fusion protein was determined using indirect ELISA. This antibody is capable of binding mouse CD226 expressed on wild-type mouse platelets in a flow cytometric assay. This antibody was also reported to promote platelet aggregation. This antibody can be used to identify CD226 expressed in platelet lysates using western blot (CN111363042). |
