Vector Labs Ab03458-23.0 Anti-LMP1 [H11F6], Rabbit IgG, lambda (100 μg)
Quick Overview
The original antibody was isolated from a human non-immune scFv phage display library by screening antibodies against a 44-mer polypeptide corresponding to the CTAR1/TES1 site of LMP1 (TES1 polypeptide).

| Chimeric Use Statement: | This full-length chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human scFv format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody specifically binds the CTAR1/TES1 (C terminus activation region 1/transformation effector site 1) which comprises the membrane-most proximal 34 amino acids (amino acid residues 196–231) of carboxy-terminal cytoplasmic tail of the oncogenic latent membrane protein 1 of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). EBV latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) is essential to virus-induced B cell immortalization and the downregulation of cell adhesion molecules that increases cell motility. It acts as a CD40 functional homolog to prevent apoptosis of infected B-lymphocytes and drive their proliferation. |
| Application Notes: | The binding characterization of this antibody to the TES1 polypeptide of the LMP1 protein of Epstein-Barr virus was done using ELISA. This antibody can selectively block F-LMP1-induced NFkappaB activity that was mediated through the TES1-site and to bind LMP1 protein with high efficiency (PMID: 14659750). |
