Specificity Statement:This antibody binds canine distemper virus (CDV). Canine distemper is a viral disease caused by CDV that attacks the respiratory, gastrointestinal and nervous systems of puppies and dogs. The virus can also be found in wildlife such as foxes, wolves, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, mink and ferrets and has been reported in lions, tigers, leopards and other wild cats as well as seals.
Application Notes:This antibody shows neutralizing activity towards canine distemper virus. This antibody was used as capture antibody in combination with another anti-canine distemper virus antibody 1G5 as a detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA. In vivo studies to detect the efficiency of this antibody in preventing infections and protecting against canine distemper virus indicated that this antibody can alleviate the clinical symptoms caused by canine distemper virus, reduce the mortality rate and reduce the number of days of detoxification, and have a good therapeutic and/or preventive effect (CN105695420).
