| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds N-terminal part comprising amino acids from 44–217 of the PorM protein of Porphyromonas gingivalis. PorM is a membrane protein that is involved in the assembly of the type IX secretion system (T9SS) in Porphyromonas gingivalis, a major bacterial pathogen that is responsible for periodontal disease in humans. |
| Application Notes: | The binding specificity of this antibody towards N-terminal part of the PorM protein was determined using ELISA. The affinity of the antibody was found to be Kd= 1.8 ± 0.7 nM (PMID: 28471361). |
