| Application Notes: | The specificity of this antibody (Fab) was confirmed in ELISA analysis. The antibody detected the SARS-CoV S protein by western blot analysis. The clone was converted into human IgG1 and its neutralizing activity was determined. Both Fab and IgG1 antibodies showed significant neutralizing activities in cytopathic effect (CPE) inhibition neutralization test, the antibodies were able to completely neutralize the SARS virus and protect the Vero cells from CPE after virus infection (Liang et al, 2005; PMID:16544518). |
