| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds the coat protein of Chickpea chlorotic dwarf virus (CpCDV). CpCDV is a monopartite, single-stranded circular DNA virus in the genus Mastrevirus and family Geminiviridae. It is transmitted by Orosius albicinctus in a circulative (persistent) and nonpropagative manner. It is the causative agent for Chickpea stunt disease (CSD) that is a threat to chickpea production leading to yield losses of 75⁻95%. Symptoms of CSD include very small leaves, intense discoloration (yellowing (kabuli type) and reddening (desi type)), and bushy stunted appearance of the plant. |
| Application Notes: | The affinity characterization of this antibody for Chickpea chlorotic dwarf virus (CpCDV) was done using ELISA. This antibody reacted with recombinant coat protein of CpCDV in a western blot (PMID: 32970278). |
