| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | The antibody is specific for MUC1-C/ECD. |
| Application Notes: | The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. This antibody was used for detection of MUC1-C/ECD expressed on ZR-75-1 breast carcinoma or H-1975 NSCLC cell lines by flow cytometry. The antibody detected the recombinant chIL-2 by western blot analysis (US10059775B2). The scFv version of this antibody was successfully used to deliver gemcitabine to MUC1-positive pancreatic cancer cells, enhancing chemosensitivity and inducing immunogenic cell death in both in vitro and in vivo models of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) (Guo et al., 2024; DOI: 10.1002/smm2.1279). |
