| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds human and cynomolgus monkey CD70, a cytokine belonging to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family, which acts as a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27. It is a surface antigen present on activated T and B cells. The CD70-CD27 pathway plays an important role in the generation and maintenance of T cell immunity, in particular during antiviral responses. Upon CD27 binding, induces the proliferation of costimulated T-cells and enhances the generation of cytolytic T-cells. This cytokine is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin synthesis. CD70 is also identified as an emerging target in cancer immunotherapy. |
| Application Notes: | The binding this antibody to recombinant human CD70 was determined using ELISA. This antibody can positively react with human and cynomolgus monkey CD70 expressed on the surface of 786-0 renal carcinoma cells and CHO-K1-cmCD70 cells in a flow cytometric assay (CN110724670). |
