The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with tetracycline hydrochloride-BSA as an immunogen. The cDNA obtained from total mRNA of the immunized mouse splenocytes was used as a template to amplify the variable domain genes and generate an scFv phage display library. Later on the antibody was selected by panning this library against tetracycline-ovalbumin conjugate.

The colloidal gold labelled version of this antibody was used for the development of colloidal gold test strip for detection of tetracycline hydrochloride (CN103396484). |
