| Application Notes: | This antibody was capable of binding cells expressing 24P4C12 proteins on their surface in a flow cytometric assay. This antibody can be used in the development of an antibody-drug conjugate for targeted delivery of toxins to cancerous cells. The cytotoxicity of Ha5-1(5)2.1-vcMMAE antibody-drug conjugates was evaluated in PC3 cells engineered to express 24P4C12 and it was reported that it can selectively deliver a cytotoxic drug to 24P4C12 expressing cells leading to their killing. Ha5-1(5)2.1vcMMAE also inhibited the growth of subcutaneous and orthotopically established human androgen-independent prostate cancer xenograft in SCID mice (US8309093). |
