| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds human CD5, which is a surface glycoprotein that act as a receptor in regulating T-cell proliferation. CD5 is a good immunohistochemical marker for T-cells. This antibody also cross reacts with cynomolgus monkey CD5. |
| Application Notes: | The binding of this antibody to human and cynomolgus monkey PBMCs was studied using flow cytometry. The human IgG1 version of this antibody mediates significant ADCC activity against the CLL cell line Wac3CD5, using purified NK cells as effector cells. Anti-RSV IgGI was used as an isotype control. In a caspase activity assay this antibody showed capability of inhibiting survival of both CLL and ALCL tumor cells by mediating apoptosis against these cells.
