Application Notes:The original antibody was used for an ELISA on the VP1 protein of Human parvovirus B19. This antibody was tested for its neutralization ability in a human erythroid-cell colony-forming assay. It showed it was able to neutralize the parvovirus (Gigler et al., 1999; PMID:9971777). The structure of the original antibody was determined using cryo-EM (Sun et al., 2019; PMID:30787153). This antibody was used for immunoprecipitation on B19 capsids (Ros et al., 2006; PMID:17020940, Bönsch et al., 2010; PMID:20826697). Further this antibody was used for an immunofluorescence infectivity assay, this confirmed the neutralizing of the antibody (Ros et al., 2006; PMID:17020940). This antibody was used for immunofluorescence on B19 infected UT7/Epo cells (Bönsch et al., 2010; PMID:20826697, Quattrocchi et al., 2012; PMID:22718826).
