Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for Capsid protein VP25 from Human astrovirus-2.
Application Notes: The structure of the original antibody was determined using x-ray crystallography. This antibody was used for a western blot on HAstV-2 capsid protein (Bogdanoff et al., 2016; PMID:27213181). The original antibody was used for an ELISA on purified Spike or GFP-Spike from HAstV-2 (Bogdanoff et al., 2017; PMID:27807234, Bogdanoff et al., 2018; PMID:29070688), and on purified Human astrovirus-2 (Sanchez-Fauquier et al., 1994; PMID:7514320). Further this antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on Spike2 from HAstV-2. This antibody has shown that it is able to block the GFP-Spike2 binding to Caco-2 cells (Bogdanoff et al., 2017; PMID:27807234). This antibody was used for immunofluorescence on Human astrovirus-2 infected LLCMK2. This antibody was used for radioimmunoprecipitation on virus samples (Sanchez-Fauquier et al., 1994; PMID:7514320). This antibody was used for a neutralization assay by preincubating human astrovirus-2 with this antibody and then adding C2Bbe1 cells (Bogdanoff et al., 2018; PMID:29070688).
