Application Notes: The original antibody was used for an ELISA on alpha-5 beta-1-Fc fusion protein. The original antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on alpha-5 beta-1-Fc. It showed a binding affinity of 0.59 nM. This antibody was used for an Annexin V cell death assay. Furthermore this antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on Xenograft tumours derived from cells inoculated subcutaneously in ICR-SCID or SCID-Beige mice (Bhaskar et al., 2007; PMID:18042290). This antibody was used to test the effect of alpha-5 and beta-1 integrin blockers on OvCa cell lines HeyA8 and SKOV3ip1. Further this antibody was used for in vivo testing of alpha-5 and beta-1 integrin blocking antibodies using the HeyA8 xenograft model of OvCa metastasis. It showed a decrease in the number of tumours in the subjects (Kenny et al., 2014; PMID:25202979).
