| Application Notes: | The structure of the humanized version of this antibody was determined using x-ray crystallography. The humanized antibody was used for an ELISA on human alpha 1 beta 1 I domain (Karpusas et al., 2003; PMID:12662928). This antibody was used for a western blot on alpha-1 integrin of different animals, showing that this antibody could also bind sheep alpha-1 integrin. This antibody was used as an aerosol to prevent allergic reactions in the lungs of sheep. It only showed an effect on the late airway responses and no effect on the initial allergic reaction (Abraham et al., 2004; PMID:14578216). |
