| Specificity Statement: | This antibody is specific for the GII.10 group of the protruding (P) domain of the Norwalk virus capsid protein VP1. The P1 subdomain binding site is occluded on intact particles, yet this antibody binds intact norovirus VLPs and virions. |
| Application Notes: | The reactivity of the original antibody (alpaca VHH) against norovirus VLPs and P domains was determined using ELISA. Using isothermal titration calorimetry, a Kd of 28 nM was measured between the antibody and the GII.10 P domain. The crystal structure of this antibody in complex with norovirus GII.10 P domain was determined (Koromyslova & Hansman, 2015; PMID: 25520510). The epitope of this antibody was further characterized in X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM (Koromyslova & Hansman, 2017; PMID: 29095961). |
