Application Notes:The antibody was used for a nerve cell toxicity assay. It significantly reduces the toxic effect of amyloid beta on nerve cells. This antibody was used for a amyloid beta aggregation test where it showed the inhibition of fibrosis aggregation of amyloid beta. This antibody was used for an ELISA on amyloid beta oligomers. This antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance to determine its binding to amyloid beta. This antibody was used for a western blot on amyloid beta oligomers (CN101463082A). This antibody was used in vivo on A53T α-synuclein mice. When treated with this antibody it showed significant improvement in rotarod latency (Zha et al., 2016; PMID:27824125). This antibody conjugated to superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles was used in vivo in a mouse model for Alzheimer’s disease. The antibody reduced inflammation in the brain of the mice, further the antibody increased d glutathione level and reduced reactive oxygen species level in the brains of AD mice, additionally it reduced amyloid beta burden in the brains of the AD mice, and finally it reduced synapse loss in AD mice (Liu et al., 2020; PMID:33160377). This antibody was used for a western blot on Chinese hamster ovary cells stably transfected with a cDNA-encoding APP751 that contain the Val717Phe familial AD mutation. This antibody was used for an ELISA on different Hsps or amyloid beta 42. This antibody was used for immunocytochemistry on SH-SY5Y cells to test the effect of the antibody on the binding of amyloid beta to cells (Zhao et al., 2014; PMID:24156260).
