Vector Labs Ab04710-1.159 Anti-MPXV A29L protein [H9 (R3P2-H9)], Mouse IgG1-Fc Fusion, (100 μg)
Quick Overview
The original antibody was generated by immunizing an alpaca with monkeypox virus surface protein A29L. The PBMC s collected from immunized alpaca were used to generate a nanobody phage display library and the particular antibody was isolated by panning the library against Mpox A29L protein.

| Chimeric Use Statement: | This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Alpaca VHH format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. |
| Specificity Statement: | This antibody binds the A29L protein of the monkeypox virus. Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. Monkeypox mortality rates range from 0%-11% in the general population and are higher in young children. In Q3 of 2024, the WHO declared monkeypox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts. |
| Application Notes: | This antibody can be used as a coating antibody in a double antibody sandwich (DAS) ELISA for detection of monkeypox virus. Biotin labelled anti-MPXV A29L antibody B8 (R3P2-B8) was used as an antibody pair for detection. The experimental results showed that the detection sensitivity of the double-antibody sandwich ELISA with this antibody pair reached 9.375pg/mL (CN116693663). |
