| Application Notes: | This antibody was used for an ELISA on toxin B. The original antibody was used for a neutralization assay, the cells used as target for toxin B in this assay were Human lung fibroblasts IMR-90. It showed a neutralizing activcity of 100 ng/mL or lower. This antibody was used for a western blot to map its epitope, it was shown that the antibody bound to fragment 4 (receptor binding domain) of toxin B. This antibody was used in vivo against lethality of Syrian Golden Hamster by C. difficile, Syrian Golden Hamsters were inoculated with C. difficile and treated with both this antibody and EV029105a. It showed increased survivability for the inoculated Syrian Golden Hamsters (US20150259402A1). |
